Job Title: Experienced Grill Cook

Table 985

Table 985 is a chef-driven, casual-upscale restaurant located in a beautifully restored historic building in Conneaut’s vibrant Port District along Lake Erie. We specialize in elevated comfort food featuring premium steaks (Braveheart Black Angus), smoked Duroc pork chops, fresh Lake Erie walleye, seafood, pastas, and innovative seasonal dishes — all prepared from scratch with care and served in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Grill Cook to join our established, high-performing kitchen team.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare high-quality grilled, sautéed, and flat-top items to exacting standards during dinner service
• Work with a variety of premium proteins (steaks, pork, seafood, poultry, etc.)
• Maintain consistency and presentation on a busy line
• Collaborate closely with our experienced kitchen team to deliver exceptional guest experiences
• Uphold strict food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe or equivalent knowledge preferred)

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a grill cook in a high-volume or upscale restaurant environment
• Strong knowledge of char grill, flat top, and sauté techniques
• Solid understanding of food safety and proper handling procedures
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen during evenings and weekends
• Positive attitude, reliability, and a passion for scratch-made cuisine
• Team player who takes pride in their work and contributes to a positive kitchen culture

Schedule:

Evenings and weekends are required (typical dinner /Sunday brunch shifts). This is a full-time opportunity for the right candidate.
